Shoah Education Project Web:
Holocaust Education for Church and General Public
An effort at educating the public, and the Church about the Shoah, or Holocaust. All have heard of the holocaust, only a few comprehend its lessons. Few survivors remain, only a few eyewitnesses, and as they age, we lose the critical eyewitness that makes historical accounts pale. The word "Shoah" is the Hebrew word for gale, or violent storm indicating the turbulent and angry waters of death and pain and grief, that did indeed reach every shore. The shores of every nation are still touched by Shoah. Survivors live wounded lives and we are in one sense or anther, children of the Shoah. This "Shoah Education Project" in an attempt to change hearts, to change perspectives, to make us all far more than tolerant of each other. Both the persons who tormented and persecuted, and the persons who were victimized and suffered, were initially, persons just like us. This program was designed to teach Shoah Education in the Church and Synagogue, but is adaptable for all uses PLEASE VISIT OUR SLIDE PRESENTATION, available to all educators for free, and downloadable with permission.
